PRESS RELEASE

In an extreme emergency the first three minutes might be a matter of life and death for a severely injured person.
Even though most industrialised countries have an excellent supply and transport infrastructure from our present-day viewpoint, accident and terror victims still die during transportation to the nearest hospital. This hazardous time span needs to be challenged and overcome.

On the occasion of the 3rd INTERCON (International Emergency and Rescue Conference) in Hamburg an entirely autonomous and mobile emergency and rescue technology is being presented for the first time in the history of emergency medical aid. This technology provides immediate and undelayed medical, on-site care that to date has been unknown in medical facilities in containers.

The EMM EuroMediMobil is a fully-equipped surgical care unit on a semi-trailer, the surgical ward can be extended to a width of 4 m to provide an area of 24 m². A module system facilitates a swift conversion to meet various medical requirements. Standard specifications include an operating table including anaesthetic, digital X-ray equipment, ultrasonic, laboratory and digital long-distance data transmission of patients’ data, X-ray results and laboratory values for conciliar assessment or preparation for intensive care in a clinic. Furthermore, modules are provided for taking care of infected patients, gas or fire victims, ABC-contaminated persons. These modules which can easily be retrofitted either replace or supplement the standard equipment.

The EMM EuroMediMobil can reach emergency sites as early as standard or emergency ambulances, the significant and life-saving difference being that it need not first transport the patient whose life is at stake to the nearest hospital. A generator supplies the energy needed for the entire EMM medical equipment, including the air-conditioning, the operational lamps, the transmission and air-cleansing equipment. Oxygen is extracted from ambient air and compressed; water supplies are carried in a 500/700 litre-tank or taken from a hydrant via an integrated coupling.

The standard crew of an EMM EuroMediMobil consists of two medical specialists, two auxiliary medical personnel trained in mobile healthcare and a driver. It is suitable for transport by sea and air for use in international relief actions as well as in terror attacks or natural catastrophes and can immediately be deployed on site as basically no preparatory work is required.

The EMM EuroMediMobil is the innovation in health care and rescue service.
